About us
Zach, M.A., LPC, and Ashley established Hopetown in 2016. However, the journey began when Zach (39 years old now) was diagnosed with a mental health disorder when he was 24 years old. Zach was a pastor with a church at the time. The pressures of life, along with unaddressed issues with debilitating anxiety led to Zach’s mental breakdown. He then went to see a professional counselor for the first time. To Zach’s surprise, he found healing through professional therapy. Not only that, he fell in love with the art of counseling as well. Thus, the journey to become a professional counselor himself began.
Zach and Ashley, from the beginning, have always had a dream to create a safe space for people to find healing- a “town” if you will. This place would specialize in different areas of therapy, while maintaining trustworthy character that would provide everyone who receives services from Hopetown a real sense of safety. Each area within Hopetown provides this and more.
Zach and Ashley have been married since 2010 and currently live in the Upstate of South Carolina. Together, they are raising their kids, Everly and Dax.
